Start from your data, not from charts. With Cube.js, you first connect to your warehouse, describe your metrics once, and then query them anywhere. Spin up a project, point it at Postgres, BigQuery, Snowflake, or another source, and let schema generation scaffold cubes from your tables. Refine those cubes by defining measures (revenue, signups, DAU), dimensions (plan, region), and segments (paid vs. free) in a single semantic layer. That layer becomes the contract your team depends on—stable names, consistent logic, no copy‑paste SQL. When product or finance asks for a new KPI, you extend the schema, commit, and ship. The framework compiles efficient queries, manages cache lifecycles, and serves results through fast APIs.

To build an embedded dashboard, drop the Cube client into your React, Vue, or Svelte app and compose a query object: which measures, how to group, date range, filters, and sorting. Bind the response to Chart.js, ECharts, D3, or your own UI components. For speed, add pre‑aggregations that roll up heavy queries by time or category; set a refresh schedule so users always see warm data. Drill‑downs are straightforward: request finer grain on click, and Cube fetches only what changed. Pagination and windowing keep tables responsive, while cache keys ensure repeated views return in milliseconds. You focus on product UX; Cube handles query orchestration, parallelization, and cache invalidation under the hood. more
